Without a car, without streSS: in San Candido – oh, yeSS!

Traveling as a patchwork family of 8 is a real adventure itself, and of course you want to make sure that everything goes smoothly and that everyone, from preschoolers to teenagers, feels comfortable. So, my partner and I were looking for a place that had everything we wanted for a relaxing vacation: lots of space, comfort, style and vacation activities that didn't require to get in the car with the whole bunch of rascals. And lo and behold, we found what we were looking for! I think we even found our absolute favorite holiday location: San Candido!

Everything there to feel good!

In the center of San Candido, in the middle of the pedestrian zone, with shops and grocery stores in front of the door - this fact alone scores points for us!! – right there are located the Dolomite Apartments Winklwiese with their unique alpine style and high comfort for a holiday in an apartment. The pictures on the website really appealed to us. But seeing our apartment live, for the first time, exceeded all our expectations: 110 m² WOW! The kids couldn't believe it themselves. So much space! And soooo beautiful! And pretty much everything you need was there: from the dishwasher to the hairdryer. And no one had to lie down in an extra bed next to dad and mom (except the occasional cuddly mouse), because anyone who has a large family knows that family time is best enjoyed together, but without sticking to each other.

And what's going on in San Candido?

That’s what everyone wanted to know before making a decision. It is not easy to plan holidays in such a way that children and adults do not get bored and that everyone has fun. And behold… San Candido has a great ace up its sleeve:
Recreational areas for families on the Baranci with the village of the dwarves and the kingdom of the giants, the hideout of the gnomes and walks in the pedestrian area with shopping and aperitif inside or outside and in addition, San Candido has the longest summer rail bobsled track in Alto Adige. In winter, the snow changes everything, dwarfs become giant snowmen, the Baranci family ski area appeals to minis and the 5 connected mountains are the perfect spot for ambitious skiers. And all this without getting into the car! Our vacation has never been so stress-free but full of action!
