Between Alpine comfort and feel-good romance

Yes, this vacation should be in the mountains. Alps? Yes. But not just any. If so, then do it right – that’s our holiday slogan! We chose the Dolomites as our holiday destination – for a whole of two weeks. Because less time doesn't pay off when you're packing for four people, including two children with lots and lots of things… all big affairs. And that will be all? No… but all, multiplied by 2! Because sister and brother-in-law with double attachment should also be at the start this year.

So, 4 dwarfs without Snow White, but with 4 parents instead

There are quite a few holiday flats and apartments in such a famous holiday region as Kronplatz. But try to find accommodation for 8 people! So, 8 or more is obviously a number of holiday guests that is simply not that easy to accommodate. But, just as the kids started discussing which of them would be better off staying at home with their grandparents, we finally found it: our home for the holidays. 110 square meters on two floors. And everyone could have their own bed. Well – we still had to see… who would actually stay in their OWN bed and sleep. But one thing was clear: the “booking button” was clicked really quickly!

Alpenvilla Winklwiese welcomed us with an alpine atmosphere and a hint of romance and above all gave us plenty of space to spend time together and to withdraw from time to time, when necessary, during two whole weeks. Details such as the internal loggia, the rural kitchen and the gigantic living room - sweetened our winter days when we were not exploring the surrounding snowy world of Valdaora/Olang or the slopes of the Plan de Corones ski area.
