This is unique in Italy! An entire herd of reindeers in the ski and hiking region Croda Rossa. There they feel so comfortable that they even let you approach them. Traditional stands, local arts and crafts, gastronomic specialties: this is what makes the Christmas market in Innichen – San Candido such an idyllic scene. Its charm reminds of a wonderful Christmas fairytale that lasts from the end of November till the beginning of January.
In January, the International Snow Sculpture Festival takes place in Innichen – San Candido. During this three-day event ambitious artists will do their best to carve creative sculptures in 27 m3 pressed snow blocks. From dragons and turtles to giant hearts of snow and ice, real artworks arise every year in the centre of Innichen – San Candido. They are illuminated in the evening.
